RBK Patello-Femoral Resurfacing System
Finally, science and engineering are one and are applied to this growing segment of the resurfacing arthroplasty market.
The RBK Patello-Femoral resurfacing system uses the same trochlear geometry as the total knee system of the same name.
When in typical use, our patello-femoral system features an anatomical chrome cobalt trochlear component with several fixation spikes on the undersurface. Designed for cemented use, this trochlear component can be used with either a cemented all poly ethylene patella button or a metal backed rotating anatomical patella with porous in-growth surface and hydroxyapatite coating.
Designed for minimum bone removal, the femoral trochlear is burred to prepare a bed for the implant.
A system of clear plastic trials allows the surgeon to accurately gauge the topography of the femur relative to the implant geometry.
