The Apex Modular™ Hip System
The Apex Modular™ Hip System provides the surgeon with the ability to reproduce the joint biomechanics accurately. For the first time, extensive offset and vertical height can be adjusted intra-operatively. The unique " Dual Press™ " Neck/Stem junction technology allows the modular stem to function as a mono block stem in terms of strength and material properties.
Designed for primary and difficult primary hip replacements the Apex Modular™ System offers version adjustment as well as an unsurpassed choice of offset and leg length options.
The Apex can be used with the extensive Global Acetabular cup system with numerous bearing surface options.Low demand bearing surfaces options through to hard on hard ceramic on ceramic and metal on metal are available.

Global has designed and is currently trialing a new milling device for the Apex hip.
Many of our surgeons believe that the optimal preparation for an uncemented stem involves milling the cancellous bone along with the cortico-cancellous bone (high density) that is found in the load bearing areas of the medial femoral calcar.
Whilst not widely available, a number of our clinical advisors have had the opportunity to use it with very positive feedback.
