Where proximal bone is compromised.

The SMR is an uncemented modular canal loading revision hip system. The surgeon implants the stem in the best available bone and builds the required proximal geometry and version using trials.

The proximal segment can be HA coated to maximize on growth where the distal stem has screws to allow distal locking where indicated.

The technique is simple and reproducible.
