Global Announces Its Inaugural Fellowship Global is pleased to announce the commencement of our inaugural Orthopaedic fellowship program. Commensurate with our commitment to ongoing research and education, the fellowship is intended for Australian and overseas Orthopaedic graduates.
As this is our first year, the inaugural position will be for 12 months. The successful applicant is Dr. Lewis Samuels who has traveled from Winnipeg in Canada along with his partner Colleen. Lewis’s fellowship year will be undertaken at the St. Vincent’s Hospital campus in Sydney and the Hurstville knee Clinic under the supervision of Drs. Woodgate, Rowden and Rooney.
Lewis has been charged with the task of producing a number of clinical papers and research articles. These are intended for publication in the major peer review journals within the Orthopaedic fraternity. These will include, but will not be limited to; 1. Lateral unicompartmental replacement ( A clinical review ) 2. Large diameter metal on metal hip arthroplasty ( International Implants Germany ) 3. A study of tri-body hip revision system ( Hayes Medical USA ) 4. A clinical review of the use of a synthetic, phase pure, calcium phosphate with silicate ion substitution in spine and general Orthopaedic surgery ( Apatech UK ) Global invites graduates in their last year of their fellowship programs to apply to our Sydney office (details of which are listed on the website) by sending a copy of the CV to Mr. Rhett Kentwell (Sales and Marketing manager of Global Orthopaedic Technology).
